The Artisans Homeworld (グリーンガーデン ホーム Green Garden Home in Japanese) is the first homeworld encountered in Spyro the Dragon and the Spyro Reignited Trilogy. The Artisans dragons are tranquil and take a calmer approach to most problems. The world consists of a pleasant countryside and ornate castles.

Being that there are no enemies that try to attack Spyro, Artisans is the easiest homeworld in the game. The world has the fewest gems in the game at 100, but it compensates with its large amount of dragons at 4.

Description

The Artisans Homeworld is Spyro's lush, green homeworld. The residents pride themselves in their homes, which is a vast meadow of healthy green grass, several tall trees, and gentle waterfalls feeding into many different ponds in the area. Statues and intricate portals dot the landscape, as well as some marble hallways running through the tall hills. Homes here are made up of small castles, large stone buildings, and the occasional high towers. Flower gardens can be found among the gem-encrusted stone walls, as well as within a few private meadows. Up above, the sky is always blue with a small bit of pink on the horizon.

Portals

Each homeworld has specially designed portals. The portals in the Artisan home are simple arches crafted out of stone, like the arch of a bridge. It is suggested that the dragons of the world created them.

The Artisan dragons are extremely peaceful and tranquil, taking a calmer approach to their problems (up until Gnasty Gnorc arrived). They provide the world with artifacts of culture and beauty in the forms of songs, sculptures, and poetry. They are social, smart, and very civilized, and their home is still the most peaceful, even after Gnasty's invasion. The leader of Artisans, Nestor, is the first and nearest dragon to Spyro, and he explains the main objective of the homeworld in order to proceed to the next.

Spyro himself is part of the Artisan dragon species.

Trivia

  • Spyro himself is part of the Artisan dragon species, and Artisans is his homeworld and place of birth.
  • Players begins with four lives at the start of the game.
  • The first dragon to be rescued, Nestor, is a walking distance away.
  • There are some major differences in the early demo than in the main game: the background music is different, the talking scene with Delbin has a different actor while he, Nestor and Tomas, whose name is Silvus, have different dialogue, while Argus doesn't exist, and the other dragons have just plain text when they are rescued. Also, Town Square, Sunny Flight and Toasty are not accessible, and the balloonist says that he can't take you to the other worlds until the full game is released (his exact message differs depending on version), and some enemies sound different when hit.
    • In a later demo, basically most of it is the same as earlier. However, the portal linked to Stone Hill was linked to Town Square instead, but still had Stone Hill music. Delbin's voice is finalized, while his, Nestor's, and Tomas's dialogue is corrected, and the sound emitted by the portals can be heard at the to-be portal atop the tower.
      • In both demos the player can glitch Spyro inside the dragon-mouth and will find that the portal is finished and if entered will find the name is there but Spyro will keep flying and never reach the level.
    • In a late demo, Spyro can go to the next homeworld and Spyro can enter both Stone Hill and Town Square. However, only Delbin, Nestor and Tomas (and Argus this time around) have cutscenes, the gem-count is a little different, and the Artisans homeworld has Stone Hill's music.
  • Also when Astor is talking in the interview, he says, "We now have twelve thousand treasure...or is it fourteen thousand?" This is a reference to how many gems there are in the game: twelve thousand in the main story, two thousand in Gnasty's Loot.
