Frogs are the second most frequently seen fodder in the Spyro series and minimal enemies seen throughout a few of the games.
Only one known frog, Fredneck, is a character who isn't a fodder.
Spyro the Dragon[]
In Spyro the Dragon, Frogs are only seen in Dark Hollow as fodder. They bear a strong resemblance to Big Gnorcs, and look somewhat dimwitted.
Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage![]
In Ripto's Rage, Frogs now more closely resemble their real-life counterparts with black eyebrows, a yellow throat and stomach, and a different figure; they also don't have teeth. They are far more common, appearing in the Summer Forest and Autumn Plains homeworlds, as well as in Mystic Marsh.
Spyro: Year of the Dragon[]
In Year of the Dragon, they are similar in appearance to the previous game. They can be found in Sunny Villa and Charmed Ridge, as well as in the Evening Lake homeworld.
Spyro: Season of Ice & Season of Flame[]
In Season of Ice and Season of Flame, they reprise their roles as fodder like the previous games.
Spyro: A Hero's Tail[]
A frog named Fredneck is a resident of the Crocovile Swamp in the Dragon Kingdom.
