Trivia[]

General[]

  • This is one of two realms in the game that Spyro has access to the Fairy Kiss power-up, and the first time it appears in the series. The other is Haunted Towers.
  • In the original NTSC-U and Reignited Trilogy versions of the game, the music theme is a slowed-down remix of Tree Tops.
  • If you line yourself up behind one of the fanning chests in front of the egg thief by the pool, you can kill him with the propeller. This tactic can also be done with various other enemies in the game.
  • The names of two of the dragons—Ajax and Cyrus—are the same as two characters from the 1979 cult movie, The Warriors, and could be a reference to them.

Original Game[]

  • This is one of the few realms where Spyro does not do his aerial backflip when he arrives.
  • When Spyro falls into the bottomless pit near the multiple caves, and near the supercharge ramp, the fairies escort Spyro back to safety on the top of the ramp. If he falls off the edge in other locations, it results in losing a life as the screen fades black.
  • When releasing any dragon in this realm, the background music for the cutscene changes to that of Dark Hollow’s.
  • In the NTSC-U version of the game, Cyrus is mint green. In the PAL version, he's yellow instead.
    • In the Reignited Trilogy, he retains his green color.
  • In a few of the game's prototypes, High Caves used Stone Hill's music, and there were flags placed throughout the level.
    • In the June 15th Prototype, the fairy's ability was slightly different. When approached, instead of kissing the player and granting them an enhanced flame ability, they would wave their wand and cause all the Spiders to shrink to a small enough size that they can be charged by the player.[1]
