The Robot Sharks are mechanical fish that appeared in the Aquaria Towers realm in Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!. They are seemingly invincible enemies that block the way forward. As they are large and made of metal, neither charging or fire blasting them has any effect. In order to get past them, Spyro has to get enough gems for Moneybags to use his specially crafted sub that has the appearance of a robot shark. If Spyro tries to get near one of them, they will devour him in one bite, causing him to lose a life instantly. Fortunately, Spyro is able to destroy them with his superflame breath.
In the Desert Ruins realm in Spyro: Year of the Dragon, the Robot Sharks return in one of the challenge areas but don't attack Spyro. Instead they are ridden by Rhynocs who try to shoot at Spyro when he rides Hunter's pet manta ray with exploding ammo.

Trivia[]
- Bluto's shark submarine resembles these enemies.
- The sharks were hard-coded by the game developers so that once one of them takes notice of Spyro, it is impossible to escape from them without the Superflame power-up. As a result, there is a glitch where, if you near the sharks and jump out of the water, they will follow you onto dry land and eat you. As a possible reference to this glitch, in the Reignited version, if you do this, the sharks will briefly follow you a few feet up onto dry land to try and eat you before giving up and heading back into the water.
- The sharks are the only enemies from the original trilogy capable of killing Spyro in one attack regardless of whether Sparx is present.
