Story
The Stone Sentinel is the god of the shrine in Tall Plains. When angered, he can be a formidable foe and can cause the seasons to become unbalanced. The Atlawas were unable to give tribute to the Stone Sentinel when Cynder and her forces attacked, and thus the Stone Sentinel became enraged, unknowingly becoming Cynder's guard to the Ice Guardian Cyril after she disturbed the shrine the Sentinel was in. Spyro eventually defeated the Stone Sentinel in order to free Cyril and brought balance of the seasons back to Tall Plains.

Trivia
- The Stone Sentinel's design could be based off of a Golem, which is an animated anthropomorphic being from Jewish folklore that is magically created entirely from inanimate matter.
- The Stone Sentinel shares the same character animations as Arborick from The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night.
- The Stone Sentinel is the first and only boss of A New Beginning to not have any form of firepower-based attacks (the Ice King can breath ice, summon ice shards from either the ground or the ceiling. Steam can launch out fireballs from its funnel or launch out a stream of flames from its sides. The Electric King can also summing ice shards from either the ground or the ceiling, but can spew out a lighting breath. Cynder can spew out flames from her mouth).
