I say the most likely reason Sparx didn't trust Cynder up until Gaul's defeat is most likely because he's looking after Spyro. Sparx is just caring for his brother like any sibling would.

- The comments aren't random. They are purposely intended as positive statements about the various characters, games, etc. These are characters that deserve more respect and attention.
- Sometimes the true answers are deep under the surface. You simply have to look pass the surface to what lies beneath and keep you mind open to all the potential possibilities. That's how I discovered the change in attitudes between Sparx and Cynder in the Dam level of Dawn of The Dragon.
- I think they became strong friends at that point. Goes to show that you shouldn't judge individuals before you get to know them.
- One last thing before I return to hiatus. I have a feeling that Sparx didn't as much respect as he deserved from many of the characters in the series. Sparx played an enormous role helping Spyro fufill his destiny. If he hadn't been captured by the apes in A New Begining, Spyro's abilities would never have been unlocked. Wouldn't you agree that Sparx deserved more respect than he got?
